It was wonderful to find out I have been included in this new book about contemporary crafts at The Fitzwilliam Museum. Written by Amanda Game, a specialist in contemporary British and international craft and design, it documents the vast collection of Nicholas and Judith Goodison's, built up over the last 20 years, that they gifted the museum in Cambridge.
"The purpose of the collection has been to introduce to the Museum some of the outstanding work being made by British designers and craftspeople today, thus complementing the Museum's historic collections and reflecting the quality of teaching and practice in the field"
My collection of vessels 'Feathers from the Swallows' were bought from London Glassblowing and consist of 6 small kiln formed glass vessels, constructed with sheet and powdered Bullseye glass.
It is a valuable resource for those who appreciate applied arts and one I'm very happy to be included in.
